Toronto in Spring, Perfect For Family Portraits

It’s been a loooooooooong winter! It felt longer than usual! And the snow was pretty relentless. We got a sneak peek into spring last week with those warm temperatures which means, before we know it, everything will be luscious and vibrant, full of greens and pinks and purples and so much colour! Everything blossoms! Including the inspiration to write the seasonal newsletter, (so make sure you sign up because that’s going out soon)! But the energy that comes with spring as we feel our bodies recharge and reignite is refreshing. It’s truly a beautiful time to put on those flowy dresses and fun outfits then step into the gorgeous light in front of my camera!

Let’s spend a lovely late afternoon together strolling through the park capturing frame-worthy photographs of you and your loved ones! Like the photos posted here from our absolutely perfect spring session in High Park last year! Photoshoots are always a sweet adventure for the whole family. Even people who claim they hate their photos being taken always have a great time and are always so grateful at how quickly they feel at ease. You just need to show up as you and continue being you!

Oh, just looking at these again has gotten me so eager to get out there! I cannot wait to see some of you again this year and I’m really excited to meet so many new families this year too!

A Spooky Mario Party

These 4 have such an incredible bond that together they can take on the mad sun, wild turtles, and any other obstacle that gets in their way. But on Halloween they went up a level and braved the spooky world to collect candy instead of coins.

And oh boy! As they walked that spooky path they accumulated so much candy. But as it got darker and spookier they needed some extra help. Without Yoshi they were not confident they could get to the creepy castle at the end. Luckily they met up with some sort of wild rooster who joined forces with Mario, Luigi, Princess, and Toad. However, a few blocks before entering the creepy castle, Mario got a game over. Womp Womp! The others weren’t sure they would make it to the end without him. Especially when they lost the rooster at the entrance of the creepy castle. But they did it! So with bags full of candy, these cute gamers headed home to spend the next few days indulging in all the sugar!

Now that I have pretty much completed 12 years of documenting my children’s childhood trick or treating adventures, I think it’s time to offer this special holiday adventure to other families. So sign up to receive the quarterly newsletter if you want to participate in the halloween adventure draw next year! Who will be the lucky family who wins and gets their Halloween adventures documented?! It will include a fun halloween themed creative portrait too!
