This little guy came in to the world 3 days before we had a maternity session scheduled. Even though mama was a little disappointed about the maternity photos, we laughed about his fast early arrival. Clearly he was eager to meet his siblings, who I also had the privilege of photographing a couple years prior which you can see from the canvases hanging on the wall in the first picture, or by going back in the blog archives here.
Big brother is clearly going to be taking on the role as family photographer so he’ll be documenting his family’s day to day life, while sister cuddles her new baby brother at every chance she gets. We ended our lifestyle portrait session with some studio-like newborn poses. We put some cute hats on him and all melted as we watched him sleep so peacefully. How to Train Your Dragon is probably our longest running obsession that started almost 8 years ago! Creating their costumes this year was not the easiest! But a whole lot of glue gun action with some minor sewing along with spray painting, and voila! We took a few photos of this fierce duo before the sun set, but of course Toothless saw and he couldn’t resist sneaking up on us for a sweet photobomb!

At Dusk they took flight! Astrid and Stormfly wouldn’t let the rain get in their way of candy collecting! The rain came down very hard at times but they just embraced it and continued on. We started our adventure with lots of friends but the longer Astrid and Stormfly trekked the more friends they would lose to the downpour. These two have weathered many storms together. so as tempting as the hot apple cider and hot chocolate was, they motored on. They were determind. By the time all the candy was collected the rain finally stopped. So they enjoyed their flight home with mouths full of candy.
Once again, our incredible neighbourhood made this holiday super rad!! So many of you wonderful neighbours also embraced the elements and turned what could have been a gloomy Halloween in to yet another epic year! Thank you! Now scroll down to see their adventure!
