Adelaide's First Roll of Film

Adelaide got a toy film camera for her birthday and she was so eager to use it. Since it was a toy camera that had no flash and required no batteries, we had to wait for a sunny day. A few days later was gorgeous! It was +14C in early December. So we went to the park and then took a walk down the path. I snapped some photos of Adelaide with my Pentax K-1000 as she snapped photos with her pink plastic Barbie camera. Scroll down to see Adelaide's collection.

***The pictures you are about to view were taken by my 7 year old daughter Adelaide Von Bargen.***

You must view these images with a more artistic eye. This camera is completely manual meaning she has to wind the film between snapping pictures which resulted in some magnificent double exposures. With a plastic toy camera also comes beautiful light leakage creating perfect flaws in the images. I am completely in love with these pictures. And I have just stocked up on so much film, so there will be much more to come!

Fall in Film.

Since summer ended and a routine was implemented, life has gotten busier and fuller and faster! SO many big changes and new discoveries happen all the time in Adelaide and Audrey's life as they get older! More often I find that we're in a rush, and more then ever I am feeling time just flying by as these two blossom in to wonderful little humans right before my eyes! And of course, more then ever I want to capture moments in our real life. Like, our outings to high park zoo, our trips to the grocery store, brief picnics at the park after visiting the farmers market, going to and from school, puddle jumping to the bakery, and daytime errands with Audrey. These are the moments that matter. And these moments become nostalgic memories way too fast!!

All of these images are scanned negatives that were taken with my Pentax K1000 using 35mm film. Take a look through my Traditional Film Gallery to see more of my images that were taken with traditional film!
